These terms cover your use of ladylawshield.com, operated by Truxillo Law Firm PLLC, d/b/a Lady Law Shield. By using the site or submitting a form, you accept them.
General information, not legal advice
Everything on this site, including the blog, the Field Guide, podcasts and service pages, is general information. It is not legal advice about your situation. Employment law varies by state and agency, and deadlines can be short. Talk to an attorney about your own facts before you act.
No attorney-client relationship
Using the site, subscribing to the Field Guide or submitting a form does not create an attorney-client relationship. That begins only with a signed agreement. Send only what a form asks for, and do not send documents or anything covered by a protective order or an agency confidentiality directive.
Attorney advertising
This site is attorney advertising. Bridget Truxillo is responsible for its content. The firm's primary practice location is Houston, Texas. The firm is based in Texas and works with officers across the country on employment matters. Nothing here is an offer to represent anyone in a state where that would require a license the firm does not hold.
Testimonials and results
Testimonials reflect individual client experience, and results vary. A prospective client may not obtain the same or similar results. Nothing on the site promises or predicts the outcome of any matter.
Consultations
Booking through the site is a request. The firm confirms consultations separately and may decline, including for conflicts. Discovery Calls are 30 minutes and do not include document review. Fees are shown at the time of booking. Calls are recorded and transcribed, as the Privacy Policy describes, and by booking you consent to that.
Discovery Call Refund and Cancellation Policy
Discovery calls are scheduled for a specific time and are reserved exclusively for that consultation. No-shows are non-refundable and will not be credited toward any future services. If you need to reschedule, you are welcome to do so upon request, subject to availability. Refund requests are subject to a 25% administrative deduction and are approved at the discretion of Lady Law Shield. Once a discovery call has been scheduled, cancellation within 24 hours, without a request to reschedule, will be treated as a no-show.
Text messages
If you agree to receive text messages, you consent to messages from the firm at the number you gave, which may be sent with automated technology. Consent is not required to get the Field Guide, book a call or hire the firm. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe. The Privacy Policy explains how the firm handles your information.
Site content and links
The site's text, images and logo belong to the firm or its licensors. You may share them for personal, non-commercial use with credit. Links to other sites are for convenience, and the firm does not control them.
No warranties
The site is provided as it is. Content may become out of date as the law changes, and the site may not always be available or free of errors.
Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by Texas law. The firm may change them; the effective date shows the current version.
